A quiet, on-device companion for the prayer moments of your day

AL‑Imam is a prayer-focused Android app by Viperdam Limited. It handles the things that have to be reliable — prayer times, Adhan, Qibla, salah guidance — and adds opt-in features like on-device pose coaching and Prayer Circle for Imams and the devices they lead.

FeaturesBuilt around the prayer moment

Prayer times

Location or manual coordinates. Works fully offline. Adjustable calculation method and madhab.

Adhan & alerts

Full Adhan, silent vibration, or quiet chime. Per-prayer overrides, focus-mode suppression, and Do Not Disturb respect.

Qibla direction

Compass-based Qibla with a manual re-calibration path for devices with weak magnetometers.

Salah guidance

Rak'at counter, step-by-step salah guidance, and post-prayer dhikr. Designed to stay out of the way during the prayer itself.

On-device pose coaching

Optional camera-based ruku' and sujood guidance. The model runs on your phone. No frames, video, or landmarks are uploaded.

Prayer Circle (opt-in)

Imams can pair with one or more Prayer Devices to share adhan, prayer-start, and salah status. 80-bit invitation codes, 15-minute expiry, SHA-256 hashed at rest.

10 languages, RTL where relevant

English, Arabic, Urdu, Bahasa, Turkish, French, German, Spanish, Hindi, and Indonesian. Full RTL where the script calls for it.

Focus mode

Soft DND around prayer windows, per-prayer override, and a clear path back to the rest of your phone when prayer ends.

PrivacyOn-device by default, opt-in for the rest

Camera pose analysis stays on the device. The app does not intentionally upload camera frames, video, or body landmarks. Cloud sync, Prayer Circle pairing, and analytics are all off by default. When they are on, the data sent is the minimum needed for the feature to work, and the privacy policy lists exactly what each one transmits.

The full privacy policy is one click away, and so is the data-deletion path.

QuestionsWhat people ask first

Does AL‑Imam upload camera frames or body landmarks?
No. The on-device pose coaching runs entirely on the device. Camera frames, video, and body landmark data are not sent to any server.
What is the Prayer Circle?
Prayer Circle is an opt-in feature that lets an Imam pair with one or more Prayer Devices so the Imam's adhan, prayer-start, and salah status can be shared with the followers who choose to follow them. Pairing requires explicit consent and an 80-bit invitation code.
Is AL‑Imam a medical device?
No. AL‑Imam is a prayer, Adhan, and focus companion. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition and does not replace qualified religious or medical guidance.
Does AL‑Imam work offline?
Yes. Prayer times, Adhan, Qibla, salah guidance, and on-device pose coaching work fully offline. The only features that require a network are opt-in cloud sync and Prayer Circle pairing.
What languages does AL‑Imam support?
The app ships in 10 languages with full RTL support where relevant. The public legal surface is currently English; localized versions of the privacy and support pages are planned.
Who publishes AL‑Imam?
