Account and data deletion
Delete AL‑Imam cloud data
These instructions apply to AL‑Imam (com.viperdam.adhanlock) by Viperdam Limited. Deletion is available without keeping the app installed, but the signed-in app is normally the fastest and safest method.
Delete from the app
- Open AL‑Imam while connected to the internet.
- Open Settings → Privacy & data.
- Select Delete cloud account and data.
- Review the warning and confirm. An email/password Imam must re-enter the account password before any destructive cloud write. An anonymous Prayer Device does not have an account password.
- Keep the app open until it confirms completion. If a network or recent-login step interrupts deletion, reopen the same screen and retry.
If you cannot access the app
Email viperotterdam@gmail.com with the subject “AL‑Imam account deletion.” Include the Imam email address if the account has one and explain whether the request concerns an Imam or anonymous Prayer Device installation.
Do not email your password, Imam PIN, Firebase UID, pairing QR code, invitation code, camera media, prayer history, or precise location. Viperdam Limited may use a privacy-preserving verification step. Requests are targeted for completion within 30 days unless verification, a legal/security requirement, or a shorter applicable deadline changes that period.
Cloud data deleted
- The current Firebase Authentication account.
- The cloud profile and Imam–Prayer Device relationships tied to that account.
- Reachable cloud prayer assignments/removals, commands, acknowledgements, completion events, progress, and registered-device records associated with those relationships.
- Open or claimed pairing invitations associated with the account.
The app deletes reachable Firestore records before deleting the Authentication account. An interrupted attempt is retryable and must not report success before both stages finish.
What cloud deletion does not automatically erase
- Records stored only on this or another person's device.
- Secure service-provider backups or limited records temporarily retained for legal, security, or fraud-prevention obligations.
- Aggregated information that no longer identifies an account.
- Crashlytics, Performance, and Analytics records that are not keyed by the app's Firebase UID and follow Firebase's product/configured retention controls.
Firebase publishes that deleted Authentication data is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days. See the Privacy Policy for product retention details.
Erase local-only records on each device
Cloud deletion and local deletion are separate. On every affected Android device, use AL‑Imam's local reset where available, or open Android Settings → Apps → AL‑Imam → Storage → Clear storage. Uninstalling AL‑Imam also removes ordinary app-local records. Cloud deletion cannot remotely clear another person's device.
